Aloha!
We spent this past weekend at one of our favorite events! The Hawaiian Collectors Expo gathers all the collectors and eclectic minds together every few months at the Neal Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. This convention center is usually jam packed full of tables and tables of awesome people with even more awesome collectible items. This event is like our addiction, seriously. There are toy tables from every one's childhood, historic building pieces, vintage clothing, tables for the comic bookers, gamer's paradise, coin collectors, post card collectors, jewelry, and so much more! This event seriously has it all! As always, we scored a handful of great things.
I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before in this blog, but Brady is a proud US Navy Diver. He loves all things Mark Five and when he saw this ice chest he just had to have it! He was able to negotiate the price down to 30 bucks!
Brady also got this Bicentennial edition Brandy for the celebration of America's (200 Year Old) Birthday at the low price of SIX DOLLARS!! He's till trying to determine if it's a good idea to drink it.
Every time we have an upcoming show we try to think of things we are hoping to find. Usually it's a hit or miss for what we hope to find. However, our expectations are usually surpassed by the goodies we do find! I was able to get a handful of kid toys, four books, and four comics for my 7 (almost 8) year old cousin, Ethan who is visiting next week for $16. I found three books for my little love, Colton for $5. I even found a few birthday gifts for Kristen and Joanne. My favorite score though are my old Hawaiian photos! I got all three of these 11 by 16 photos for only $24.
All in all I'm super happy with our great finds! The next show is on March 16th so I'll let you know what we are able to get on our next adventure at The Hawaiian Collectors Expo!
Mahalo for checking in!
Erin
