Vans Triple Crown

Aloha my dears! Since things have been so busy here and I've become neglectful on the blog again. I'm sorry! This past weekend was pretty awesome. The Vans Triple Crown Surf Competition was going on in Haleiwa.  Brady and I jumped into the truck and killed time in Haleiwa before we met up with our friends Kurt and Greta. While waiting, we decided to share a sweet crepe from this cute little crepe van. This cool little french dude converted this VW bus into a lunch wagon.

We got the "delice" crepe which has nutella and banana in it and YUM!

I got my favorite shrimp lunch plate from Giovanni's Shrimp Truck.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is the best shrimp on the island!

All of the shops in Haleiwa had these sweet little Triple Crown window clings.

This was the beautiful view up to the beach for the competition.

Photographer Brady took all of these sweet shots of the surfers.

After the competition we decided to go see Catching Fire. I LOVED IT! t was such a great movie. Jennifer Lawrence is awesome. Okay well thats all for now! I'll tune in a few more times a week from now on. Mahalo for reading,

Island Adventures

Aloha! We started our adventures last week when my friend Ashley came in from the mainland. She was here for nine days and flew out the same exact day that my oldest friend Teddi and her boyfriend Mike flew in. I've been trekking all over the island to show them our favorite little spots. I also got to explore a bunch of new favorite spots. One being the sea life in Hanauma Bay. Not only did we get to snicker over the tourists attempting to snorkel and duck walk on the sand with their fins on, we got to jump in and get to snorkeling ourselves.

Hanauma Bay

We have been stopping at lookout points all along the island. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Brady, Ashley, and I went over to the blow hole on the east side of the island to watch the sun come up.

Photos of our hammock party with our neighbors, Kyle, Brittany, and their baby Penelope.

Brady and I are obsessed with little Penelope.

The sweet little family.

Ashley and I stopped in at Dole Plantation. The pineapple ice cream is so heavenly. I love to stop in there any chance I get.

North Shore Sea Turtle

See that rock right there called Waimea Rock?

Ashley and I took the 25 foot plunge into the Pacific and let me tell you, it looked higher from the top of the rock! Glad to say we had no major injuries, only a few sore muscles.

We had a little girl's beach day and Ko Olina.

There are so many adventures packed into the last two weeks. Too many for just a few blog posts. I hope you enjoyed all the pictures! Mahalo for reading. Erin

North Shore Hideaway

There is this sweet little beach I know. A place that is hidden away in Hale'iwa Town.

Tucked away under a bridge and covered with an over pass of trees.

Making your way through the path with your toes in the shady sand you see a beautifully blue ocean start to emerge right in front of you.

A place where you can casually swim and admire the marine life.

Where surfers ride the never ending waves of the Pacific and sea turtles wave at the shore spectators.

Here even the sea turtles are in awe of the art of surfing.

They are equally in awe of snorkelers with handfuls of algae.

The place where you stop to take a moment to notice every detail of the breathtaking view.  Kick off your shoes, shed your layers, and lay on the shore like mermaids soaking in the sun.

What a place to lose yourself.

Go get lost. <3

Old Sugar Mill Waialua Coffee &North Shore Soap Factory

We took the motorcycle up toward the north shore for a fun day! Brady has raved about the Coconut Waialua Coffee for longer than I can remember so we stocked him up on the good stuff! Seriously the best hawaiian coffee ever. EVER!

Free coffee samples

They have the best soap names.

Cheesy photo op!

I was more excited about the decorations than the soap.

But we loved it so much we bought a bunch!
