Check out the yucky back.
With a lot of elbow grease, sanding, staining, plugging, and wiring, this is his beautiful masterpiece for my big 2-5.
If you notice, he carved the word "Amantes" into the wood. It means lovers in Latin. Excuse me while I totally gush about my romantic handy man. Isn't he just the sweetest?! Love that man of mine!
Back to radios... He is in the process of restoring a record cabinet that we found on bulk trash day sitting on the side of the street, in our neighborhood. (TOTALLY A FREAK OUT MOMENT. No, a freak out evening actually.) I'll show you the before but you have to wait and see the finished product and the process once it's fully complete.
Brady has a buddy at work that likes to collect old radios. He doesn't go all out restoring them like Brady does but he enjoys looking at them. They made a deal that if he restores them for him, not only would his buddy pay for it, he'd let Brady keep a few. This is partially how we have acquired so many small radios around the house. Every swap meet, market, antique store, and collectors convention, we end up with a few more little gems.
And even a trunk full of little gems.
Our vinyl collection is always growing as well. We have even married vinyl. Marrying music is kind of a big deal. Just wait until we get back to Virginia and he sees the whole rest of my vinyl collection. Welp, that's all I really have to show and say about our ever growing radio collection. Mahalo for reading <3
Oh and if you could, send some prayers to my little love Colton who is battling Florida heat to vacation in Disney world! <3
